Hey Peter have you heard anything about a new GR yet?

    • No, nothing

It’s long overdue. I wonder what’s going on at Ricoh internally.

So the recap of the Ricoh/Pentax news, as seen from the pictures, is — colours. Several articles on silver K-1, several articles on Thetas in gold, beige, grey, manga blue, etc.

    • Yes, not much going on with Ricoh/Pentax.

Honestly i no longer have the will to guess at what Pentax is up too. K-1is the only one left that i use. Price hikes, no offers especially in Canada, not to mention little to no support. It’s still better than my experience with Sony but still.I don’t normally jump ship but for me it’s been over 8 months of Pentax aps-c proposals and what we got was
the KP. Tried to get another K-1 and it’s still on back order which leads to the fact that how can ricoh/pentax claim low sales if they have so many on back order.

My Pentax K-1 just came in and i am most pleased. After seeing what Nikon recently offered and the IQ my friends K-1’s have i decided to come back to Pentax if i ever truly left to begin with. There remains to this day more value for your money in Pentax and i can handle a finicky AF. If Nikon does bring out a D760 then i’l get one, however despite the lack of lenses Pentax never fails me and does what i tell it to do without second guessing me. Olympus is also in that realm of reliability. I do hope Pentax does bring out something very good in the K-3 version 3. I would prefer to narrow my equipment to under three brands as it get’s expensive.
