Pentax 645D camera listed as discontinued

The Pentax 645D medium format camera is listed as discontinued at B&H (the last price was $3,399 back in January): Adorama and Amazon still have the 645D in stock. The Pentax 645Z is currently listed for $6,996.95. A new Pentax medium format camera with a 100MP sensor is rumored to be announced at Photokina this year (September).

Pentax 645D firmware update version 1.33 released

Ricoh announced firmware update for the Pentax 645D medium format digital camera (now priced at $3,399!). Version 1.33 comes with only one change: Corrected – SR function does not operate normally when using lens equipped with SR function on Version. 1.32.
