Ricoh Japan announced a price increase coming on October 1st

Ricoh Japan announced a new price increase that impacts several compact cameras and accessories (see table above). The price increase will take effect on October 3, 2022. I assume the price will impact other countries as well.

Almost all photo companies announced price increases this year (NikonCanonSony, Sony again, LeicaTTartisanTokina, OM, and Zeiss).

Here is the translated text of the Riicoh notice:

Notice of revision of shipment price of some products

Thank you for your continued support of Ricoh and Pentax products.
Due to recent increases in raw material costs and significant increases in manufacturing and logistics costs, we are forced to increase the manufacturing costs of some optical products such as compact digital cameras and binoculars that we sell. Due to the difficulty of producing and selling at the current price, we have decided to revise the shipping price from October 3, 2022. At the same time, we would like to inform you that we will revise the suggested retail price for products that have set the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.

Taking this opportunity, we will strive to develop even higher quality products and improve our services. We appreciate your understanding.

Price revision date: October 3, 2022 (Source)
