If you remember my post from December last year, DxOMark briefly published their test score of the Pentax 645Z medium format camera (now $1,500 off) and then removed it a few hours later. The results are now officially available on DxOMark’s website:

Last year Ricoh ensured us that the “Ricoh GR is one of our most important premium cameras. We want to reassure our GR lovers that the series will continue.” Many readers have asked me if I have any info on the GR II replacement. I have not seen any reliable information yet. There was an interesting Ricoh patent (2016-201400) that was filed in Japan last year for a Bayer sensor without a color filter array (CFA) which should create sharper monochrome images. It will be interesting if Ricoh decides to produce a monochrome GR camera.
