Pentax/Ricoh ranked as “Favorite Digital Camera Manufacturer” in Japanese survey (Nikon is at the #2 spot)

From April 8th to April 14th, 2022, ITmedia (Netorabo Survey Team) had a survey in Japan on the question “What is your favorite digital camera maker” – here are the results from a total of 2999 votes:

1st place: Pentaz / Ricoh (895 votes)
2nd place: Nikon (494 votes)
3rd place: Canon (363 votes)
4th place: OM System (346 votes)
5th place: Sony (345 votes)
6th place Place: Fujifilm (297 votes)
7th place: Panasonic (145 votes)
8th place: Leica (51 votes)
9th place: Sigma (47 votes)
10th place: Hasselblad (9 votes)

And the first place was “PENTAX / RICOH”! The number of votes obtained is 895, and it has achieved a splendid consecutive victory following the ranking of the previous year. Originally, “PENTAX” and “RICOH” were different camera manufacturers, but now PENTAX continues to be a brand of Ricoh Imaging. As each company shifts its main product to a mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera, the attitude of pursuing the goodness of single-lens reflex cameras has captured the hearts of long-time fans. In the comment section, there were enthusiastic voices such as “PENTAX is a user-friendly manufacturer” and “that color cannot be produced by other manufacturers”.
