New Ricoh Theta camera rumored to be announced soon

I received information that Ricoh is preparing to announce a new Theta spherical VR camera that could come with 4k video recoding capabilities.

Ricoh already has two different Theta models. The new version will most likely be announced for the Photokina show in September.

That market is getting crowded, but Ricoh still has a good spot in it.

I think they still have the best solution.

That is sort of a funny comment, Ron. What am I missing? We have: Kodak, Ricoh……..Nikon says they are bringing something.

Of course there is Gigapan and the Go Pro sphere but those are expensive solutions.

And we 3nded up with nothing. Ricoh will drop out quickly if they dont keep up.

Looking to the Nikon Keymission, as it is waterproof and has lens-protection.
