    K-1 pre-order in France: €1,264.31 instead of €1.999.

Where are you getting that price? That’s almost $400 lower than the US$ pre-order price at current exchange rates!

Wow, Pentax is really going to CaNikon’s jugular with their pricing strategy for full frame. The K-1 body + the “trinity” set of 2.8 zoom lenses is pretty much costing half what CaNikon charge for their D810/5DS+”trinity” kits. And they are honoring warranty worldwide no matter which country you originally bought your Pentax equipment from, opening up for even greater deals coming from the gray market if the gray marketeers play this warranty opening to their own best advantage. Of course you won’t be getting CaNikon’s local Profesional Services support (where available), but is that worth twice the initial investment on equipment?
