Ricoh Japan announced that the new HD Pentax-D FA 70-200mm f/2.8ED DC AW lens is delayed again and will be announced in April, 2016. In the US the lens is already available for pre-order. Here are the technical specifications:

    Thanks for the dedicated Pentax Rumors website. Many years ago I had a K-1000 with a 28mm lens and thought the quality was excellent, especially when considering its affordability. Hopefully, their full frame camera will put a hurt on Canon and Nikon the way Sony has. More competition usually leads to better products and lower prices. Good luck with the website!

      Well, the purpose is not to put a hurt on Canon and Nikon, but rather to expand their K-mount product range towards higher margin products, expand the user base and make a profit along the way 🙂
      You’re right, of course, about competition, and I’d say Pentax had an effect on its larger competitors. Have fun!
