Amazon is expected to start shipping the new Ricoh GR III HDF camera at the end of August

Amazon has now opened orders for the new Ricoh GR III HDF camera and is expected to start shipping at the end of August/early September:


Since the new GR III/x HDF cameras were announced in March of this year, Ricoh received a huge amount of pre-orders (over 150,000 in China), and they had to implement a lottery system. Since the official announcement, I have not seen any GR III/x HDF cameras in stock:

Ricoh Japan: GR III camera orders to resume on August 21st (all GR III models are out of stock in the US)

Ricoh Japan issued a notice that GR III camera orders will resume on August 21st. Orders were temporarily suspended earlier this year, and even a lottery system was implemented for the new GR III HDF and GR IIIx HDF models:

Today Ricoh Imaging announced two new heavy-duty, industrial cameras developed for use at jobsites in industries including construction, manufacturing and disaster relief.  The new Mark II replaces the previous G900 models.
