Ricoh released firmware update version 1.03 for the new GR IV camera:

  • A certification mark approved for use in Malaysia has been added on Certification Marks screen (previoulsy reported here).
  • The OSS license has been updated.
    *We previously announced the release of version 1.02, which complies with the Malaysian certification mark. However, due to updates to the OSS license, we are now releasing it as version 1.03.

If your firmware version has already been updated to version 1.03 via the firmware update service provided at GR event venues, the changes described here have already been applied.
If you attempt to update to firmware version 1.03 when your device is already running version 1.03, an error message saying “Update failed” may appear on the rear LCD screen.
This is not a malfunction or defect.
Before proceeding with this update, please check your current firmware version using the “Firmware Version Confirmation Procedure” described in the “Installation Method” section.
