New function-expansion firmware updates for the Ricoh GR III (version 1.91) and the Ricoh GR IIIx (version 1.41) released


Ricoh released new function-expansion firmware updates for the Ricoh GRIII (ver.1.91) and the Ricoh GR IIIx (ver.1.41). The following functions were added to the Ricoh GRIII and Ricoh GR IIIx cameras:

  • Custom White Balance: Up to 3 custom white balances can now be registered.
  • Zone Select AF: The new firmware includes “Zone Select AF,” which allows the user to select any zone within the 3×3 focusing area* and automatically focus on the appropriate position within the area.

New Firmware updates for the RICOH GR IIIx (Version 1.41) and the RICOH GR III (Version 1.91) have just been released which include new features and functions.

Evolving – New Enhanced Features

  • Added “Custom 1,” “Custom 2,” and “Custom 3” as options for white balance settings.

Combine the basic white balance settings with white balance fine-tuning to register up to three custom white balance settings.

  • Added “Zone Select AF” as an option in the focus selection menu.

Freely move the 3×3 focus area and automatically focus on the appropriate position within the area.

  • Improved stability for general performance.
