Ricoh released new firmware updates (versions 1.81 and 1.31) for the GRIII and GRIIIx cameras (the last/previous updates were pulled because of an issue):

Dear RICOH GR III and GR IIIx users, thank you for using a RICOH GR digital camera.

“RICOH GR III” function-expansion firmware version 1.81 and “RICOH GR IIIx” function-expansion firmware version 1.31 have now been released.

Change details
The problem that the setting values registered to the User Mode (“U1″,”U2”, “U3” and User Mode Box 1 to 6) revert to the default values for setting items in “Memory” of “Customize Controls” that have been deselected has been fixed.
