Ricoh GR III v1.70 and GR IIIx v1.20 firmware updates released


As already reported earlier today, the latest Image Sync version 2.1.15 was linked to new GR III v1.70 and GR IIIx v1.20 firmware updates that were just officially released with new JPG presets and connection to ImageSync:

RICOH GR III Version 1.70: Released on January 20, 2023

Function expansion contents:

  • Added “Negative Film Tone” to Image Control.
  • It is now possible to select the display of the total number of shots and the FW version on the screen when the power is turned off.
  • You can now remotely turn off the power from ImageSync (version 2.1.15 or later).

Changes:

  • Improved the stability of overall operation.
  • * The original end screen will remain even if the firmware is upgraded with the RICOH GR III Street Edition.

RICOH GR IIIx Version 1.20: Released on January 20, 2023

Function expansion contents:

A  new Firmware Update (Version 1.70) for the RICOH GR III has just been released which includes new exciting features and functions.

Evolving – New Enhanced Features

  • [Negative-Film] has been added to [Image control].
  • The total number of shots or FW version display can be selected on the power off screen.
  • Power can be turned off remotely from ImageSync (version 2.1.15 or later)

  • Improved stability for general performance.
  • The original special power-off graphic screen remains even after firmware update in RICOH GRIII Street Edition.

[Negative Film] has been added as a new Image Control mode.  By adjusting the color tones based on various negative films, the perfect balance between the faded look of a photo printed from negative film and well-defined colors has been achieved.  Various parameters, including [Saturation], [Key], and [Contrast] can be adjusted to create the desired effect.
