Ricoh WG-6 camera firmware update version 1.06 released


Ricoh released firmware update version 1.06 for the WG-6 digital camera, adding Webcam functionality:

WG-6 Evolving Firmware Update

A new Firmware [ Version 1.06 ] for the RICOH WG-6 has just been released which adds an exciting enhanced feature and functionality.

With this firmware update, the RICOH WG-6 is now equipped with Webcam Functionality that enables you to use wide-angle, telephoto ring light and macro functions of the camera.

The RICOH WG-6 can now be used as a webcam by connecting it to a computer with Full HD Streaming and, unlike traditional webcams, the wide-angle and telephoto functions can also be used.  Need to share fine details of small objects? No problem, we’ve got you covered! With the RICOH WG-6 Webcam Functionality, you can share fine details of small objects by combining the Ring Light with the Macro Shooting Function which allows images to be taken as close as up to 1 cm from the subject.

  • The camera firmware must be updated to the version 1.06
  • Supported apps: Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx, Facebook Messenger
  • The Optional accessory Extension AdapterTE-2 is required to enable the camera to be used with a tripod
