Pentax K-3 Mark III camera firmware update version 1.31 released *UPDATED*


Ricoh released a new firmware update version 1.31 for the Pentax K-3 Mark III camera – here is the changelog:

  • Added [SATOBI] to Custom Image.
  • Added Tone curve display to Custom Image.
  • Improved stability for general performance.

SATOBI Custom Image Mode Suggestions:

  • Sunrise or sunset scenes
  • Urban buildings with blue-sky scenes
  • Kids and babies in nostalgic scenes
  • Rustic or unsophisticated scenes

Update: SATOBI is a “custom image setting that gives a depiction similar to the texture of color photographs”. Additional information on SATOBI can be found here and here.
