Rumors: the new Pentax K APS-C flagship camera to be announced in September


There are rumors floating online that the upcoming Pentax K APS-C flagship camera will be announced in September. I don’t know the source and credibility of those rumors. Here is what we know so far on the Pentax K APS-C flagship camera:

  • Still no model name released
  • New large optical viewfinder with 1.05x magnification
  • The optical viewfinder uses “special glass”
  • Eye sensor that turns off the LCD screen
  • Improved AF performance
  • Improved AF tracking
  • AF joystick
  • New battery grip will be available (pictured above)
  • To be released in 2020
