The patent for the Pentax HD FA 50mm f/1.4 SDM AW lens was filed in Japan by Ricoh – see patent application 2019-139158. It has been widely reported that the new Pentax 50mm f/1.4 lens was designed by Tokina and it is a copy of the Tokina Opera 50mm f/1.4 FF lens:
