2019 Pentax DSLR market share in Japan: 3.1%


BCN Rankings published their 2019 report and Ricoh has 3.1% of the DSLR market in Japan (BCN Ranking collects real sales data from approximately 40% of the Japanese retailers):

Digital cameras with a fixed lens

  1. Nikon (31.5% share)
  2. Canon (29.8% share)
  3. Sony (11.9% share)

DSLR cameras 

  1. Canon (57.4% share)
  2. Nikon (39.3% share)
  3. Ricoh (3.1% share)

Mirrorless cameras

  1. Canon (31.6% share)
  2. Olympus (23.5% share)
  3. Sony (22.7% share)

Video cameras

  1. Panasonic (45.8% share)
  2. Sony (35.1% share)
  3. JVC Kenwood (13.1% share)

Action cameras

  1. GoPro (74.3% share)
  2. Sony (8.5% share)
  3. SAC (7.2% share)
