Firmware update v3.00 for the Ricoh GR II camera released

Ricoh released firmware update version 3.00 for the Ricoh GR II camera. Here is the change log:

  • Manual focus can be done by using the +/- button as well as the up-down dial.
  • [Flash Button Setting] is added. [Flash] or any one of functions which can be registered to the Fn1, Fn2, and effect buttons can also be assigned to the flash button.
  • [MF Assist Display] is added. There are two options:[On] or [Off].
  • [Level Display] is added. The design of the level indicator can be changed.
  • [Exposure Information Display]] is added. There are two options: [Always] or [Half Press].

    I wish they would follow the Sigma model and release these in a couple more focal lengths. The GR21 was amazing and still commands a premium in used prices. One of these with a 28mm lens would be so nice, especially if they can still beat the X100 on price.

        well, we have a great 21mm option, no?

        The 45-50mm option would be nice and I could live with an adapter as well!
        I love my DP2M for that, it’s light and produce superb images. But it sucks that with non-bright lightning, I have to switch to my X100T + 50mm adapter. It’s enormous in size and weight!
        Smaller option from ricoh would find it’s way into my bag 🙂
