Pentax 17 film camera’s designed leaves Ricoh

TKO, the designer behind the Pentax 17 film camera, has left his job at Ricoh Imaging. It is unclear what impact this move will have on the future development of the other two planned film cameras. As a reminder, Ricoh initially planned to release three different Pentax film cameras:

  • First, they will develop a compact film camera (Pentax 17 – already announced)
  • The second camera will be a high-end film model
  • The third camera will be a single-lens reflex (SLR)

Breaking news: Pentax is starting a new “Film Project” that could include the release of a new film camera
