Meyer Optik Görlitz Trioplan f2.8 100 II available
- Unique image language with optimal performance
- Short minimum object distance
- Haptics and mechanics at the highest level
- Serial production of further lenses started
Bad Kreuznach – 16th June 2020 – the Trioplan 100 f2.8 II is now available being the first revised historical lens from Meyer Optik Görlitz after the takeover of the traditional brand by the optics specialist OPC from Bad Kreuznach.
“Despite all the current, sometimes difficult, challenges, we are even more pleased to be able to report something positive. Initially planned as an event for the unfortunately cancelled Photokina, we are now able to launch the first member of the new Meyer Optik Görlitz lens family, the Trioplan 100 II, and will soon be followed by other lenses. After many analyses, optimizations and test runs, we have succeeded in producing a lens with the historic and unique image language in excellent quality,” explains Timo Heinze, Managing Director of OPC Optics. “Thanks to the intensive development time and a lot of hard work, we were able to maintain and further improve the historic lens in its character and individuality and are confident that photographers will be thrilled using the Trioplan 100 II”.
Unique image language and optimal performance
The new Trioplan 100 II shows, through its consequent orientation on the historical original, exactly those characteristics that made it so desirable in the past. By revising the optical design, the new Trioplan 100 II now offers the best possible contrast and image sharpness. At the same time, the image language, for which the Trioplan 100 with its unique bubble bokeh stands, is retained.
Improved macro photography thanks to short minimum object distance
The minimum object distance (= working distance) of the new Trioplan 100 II is 0.9 m and can be reduced even further by using extension rings. This is especially interesting for the many fans of macro photography.
Perfect haptics and mechanics
The stops and runnabilities of the aperture and distance rings have been optimized for the new Trioplan 100 II. The continuous and noiseless adjustment of the aperture and distances is particularly popular with filmers and videographers.
Serial production of further historical lenses is nearing completion
Serial production of the Trioplan 50 f2.8 II and the Lydith 30 f3.5 II will be completed shortly. Production of the new Primoplan 75 f1.9 II and the Primoplan 58 f1.9 II has also been started. The respective releases will be announced in separate announcements.
