The just announced Pentax KP camera is not the replacement for the K-3 II model. A new high-end DSLR from Pentax will be announced later this year to replace the K-3 II. According to the French website Les Numérique, the K-3II replacement will be announced in 6 months:

Translation: “The Pentax KP will co-exist for six months with the K-3 II before the latter retires and is replaced.”
