    New and improved?

For better work with FF sensor 50MP+

      • Kunzite

        With the K-1, too.
Assuming it’s one of the lenses scheduled for 2017.

    • Mistral75

They indeed have one but the optical formula of which dates back to 1993, almost a quarter of a century ago.

    • Andy Grob

It’s a complete new lens system, here you have the current old one.

Is Tamron making this new 200mm for Pentax?

    • Kunzite

Pentax has a lens factory, in Vietnam. Pentax designed the optics. Connect the dots.

Note, however, that not every lens patent is made into a lens.

    • Andy Grob

Nope, this is a pure Pentax lens.
      Like 70-200 and 150-450.
Same with a couple other lenses coming up 2017.

  • Cynog

    DC? Defocus control?

    • Kunzite

      DC = direct current motor

      • Cynog

Ah, yes: I had forgotten about that! Thank you 🙂

        • Kunzite

          You’re welcome 🙂
