I look forward to seeing what Pentax can do with this sensor, along with its pixel-shift multi-shot high-resolution mode. Without requiring Otus like quality lenses (big, heavy, & expensive), Pentax new camera can capture high-resolution images that will be moire free. Until the competition makes something similar, this will be one of Pentax’s primary advantage over Nikon, Canon and Sony.

Despite the initially limited choice of full frame Pentax-branded lenses that can handle 36mp, lens choice will not be as big an issue due to the 3rd party K-mount lenses from Tamron, Sigma, and Tokina. Having an in-body image stabilization will give this Pentax an advantage when paired with unstabilized f/1.4 to f/2.0 prime lenses.

This new Pentax camera comes with an articulating screen. Hopefully, it is a touchscreen.

As a dSLR, it will come with an optical viewfinder but I hope it supports focus peaking when using the rear screen. Focus peaking, plus image-magnify for manual focus coupled with a touch screen would be just the feature I would like to consider getting this camera.

Though I don’t expect to buy it, I do think it would be cool to own this beast. The screen is indeed interesting, yes, hopefully a touch screen, but an articulating EVF? Not just tilting? How?

An articulating EVF can be mounted on an accessory port such as a hotshoe. Some Sony E-mount has this option as well as most Olympus m4/3 camera models.
