Rioch started shipping GR IV cameras with firmware version 1.02 for Malaysian customers:

RICOH GR IV Malaysian Certified Firmware [Ver.1.02] Shipping Begins

Thank you for your continued patronage of our products. We would like to inform you of the firmware version at the time of shipment for the RICOH GR IV, which went on sale in Japan on September 12th.

In addition to firmware version Ver.1.01, which was released at the time of release, we have begun shipping Ver.1.02, which adds a certification mark for use in Malaysia. Ver.1.02 only adds the certification mark; other camera performance and functions are the same as Ver.1.01. For the time being, some countries and regions will have a mixture of Ver.1.01 and Ver.1.02, but as mentioned above, the camera’s performance and functions are the same, so please use it with confidence.

Please note that if you bring a RICOH GR IV purchased outside Malaysia into Malaysia, you will need to update to version 1.02 to comply with certification requirements. The release of firmware version 1.02 is scheduled for mid-October.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding.
