The Pentax 17 half-frame film camera with 25mm f/3.5 lens will be officially announced next week (June 18th)

Rioch already officially reported that a new update on the Pentax film camera project will be released on June 18th.

I actually think the Pentax 17 half-frame film camera with 25mm f/3.5 lens will be officially announced on that date.

Several stores have already scheduled events for June 18th:

Pentax Film Camera Project Livestream

Join B&H and Pentax for an exciting discussion about the future of film in today’s world. Film photography has seen an incredible resurgence in recent years and Pentax has a long history in creating film cameras—they even initiated the Film Camera Project to develop a new film camera!

B&H’s own Nick Brigadier will be joined by Ken Curry, the President of Ricoh Imaging Americas, and Dan Savoie, Technical Solutions Manager at Ricoh Imaging Americas, for a lively conversation about all things film photography. Be sure to tune in and join the conversation to get your questions answered by one of these experts.

Want to go hands-on with some film gear? Stop by the B&H SuperStore the next day, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 11AM – 5PM for an experience with film experts and equipment. You’ll find our team on the first floor in front of checkout. If you are feeling lucky, you can join in on a raffle to win an exciting prize.
