The Pentaxians Yearbook 2019 is here

The Pentaxians Yearbook 2019 is out:

THE LATEST PENTAXIANS YEARBOOK IS THE BIGGEST YET

The Pentaxians Yearbook 2019 – an international collection showcasing the very best photographs by the Pentaxians Facebook community – is available now.

Now in its third year, the project has grown year on year with around 300 photographers contributing to the current edition.

Based on an original idea by Stephen Obermeier (later joined by project partner Béla Nagy) the idea of the collection is that it is not a competition, with all contributions included.

Bela and Stephen are both long-time Pentaxians who manage all logistics of the project from start to finish.

“It is a colourful, multicultural, and of course artistic, collection from photographers all over the world who use Pentax gear, providing an excellent view into our community’s work and the diversity of our membership,” Stephen said.

“For the first time this year, the number of contributions exceeded the pages available in the book, so we have released two versions – a digital version featuring all contributions and a 272-page printed version.”

Visit the Pentaxians Yearbook website at http://pentaxians-yearbook.com
to order your copy or download the online version. Worldwide shipping is available. You can also download the 2018 and 2017 yearbooks here.

This edition is dedicated to Yvon Bourque, who passed away in late January 2020.

“Yvon was a great photographer and Pentax enthusiast. His Pentax e-books were of great benefit to many Pentaxians across the world and his passing is an immense loss to us all,” Stephen said.

The project also got the attention of RICOH Imaging worldwide and KASE Filters Germany/Austria, with both companies providing a giveaway or prize – Ricoh for the photographer of the cover shot and KASE for the best landscape.

The cover shot ‘Godzilla Road’ was contributed by Michele Marcolin, a Tokyo-based Pentaxian from Italy, while ‘Waterfall’ by German photographer Annabelle Schwesinger was named best landscape shot. Both Michele and Annabelle shoot with the full frame Pentax K1 (II).
