Ricoh released firmware update version 1.04 for the new GR IV camera:

Notice to Customers who Purchased the Compact Digital Camera “RICOH GR IV”

We would like to inform you that we have released new firmware (version 1.04) for the currently available compact digital camera “RICOH GR IV”, which includes the following two improvements:

• To prevent the battery from being consumed due to wireless communication continuing to operate even when the battery level is low, we have revised the control specifications so that wireless communication automatically turns off when the battery level becomes low.
• To reduce battery deterioration, we have revised the charging control specifications to prioritize safety and stability.

Both updates are designed to improve overall usability for customers, so please be sure to apply the firmware update.

Changes in version 1.04:

• Wireless communication will now automatically turn off when the battery is depleted to prevent battery drain.
• Charging control has been improved to reduce battery degradation and ensure greater safety and stability.
• Improved the pairing guidance shown when registering a camera to the ‘GR WORLD’ app for smart devices.
• Improved stability for general performance.
