The Pentax 17 film camera won several international awards

Jury statement: From the numerous entries submitted by companies and design studios from around the world, the outstanding quality and design of your product has convinced our international Red Dot jury!

With more than 18,000 submissions from designers, companies and organisations in over 70 nations, the Red Dot Award is one of the largest and most renowned design competitions in the world. Participants can enter products, brands and communication projects as well as prototypes and design concepts in three categories. A jury convenes for each award every year to individually review the submissions and then decide on the winners.

The Pentax 17 was able to convince in all categories and was awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025.

Since 1954, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been a globally recognised mark of outstanding design achievements. The iF Design mark is internationally established as a symbol of outstanding design achievements. The iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important design prizes in the world.
